The Hollow Lantern

The Hollows is a morally gray Alliance social and roleplay community built around small-time organized crime in Azeroth. Our stories follow the people who keep a local outfit running, the businesses that deal with it, and the neighbors who have to live with the consequences. A night might start with cards and drinks, turn into an argument over missing coin, and end with two people agreeing to do a job neither of them can afford to turn down.

The kind of trouble we get into

We play at street level. A smuggling run can go bad because a dockhand changed shifts, and a veteran fighter can spend the next week nursing a broken hand after a bar fight. Magic has a place here. A hedge mage might hide the marks on a stolen crate long enough to get it past a bored guard, but the crew still needs a cart, a driver, and somewhere to take it.

The Hollows can do right by one person and put the squeeze on another before supper. The same collector who gives a widow another week to pay might lean on her brother to make up the difference. Who gets that grace, who pays for it, and how long people remember are the kinds of things we like to play out.

Who fits in

Couriers, fences, bookkeepers, gamblers, bouncers, backroom healers, and merchants with an arrangement of their own all have a place here. Your character might want a steady cut, have a legitimate business worth protecting, or be looking for someone who owes them money. Friends, rivals, regulars, and reluctant associates give us just as much to work with as people looking to join the crew.

Out of character, we’re here to chat, hang out, and find people to write with. New and experienced roleplayers are welcome, whether you enjoy casual tavern scenes or want to build a grudge over several weeks. We check in out of character before a scene leaves someone’s character with a lasting injury, a major loss, or a change they’ll have to carry into future RP.
