The Journey

** THE COMMUNITY ** One of the most important things to us, is the attitude you bring to the guild. We want a space that has space for debate, while keeping the tone positive and the topics safe. Think of it as a communal bonfire. In the cold nights, the bonfire is the natural meeting place of the community. That means we all have to take part in the responsibility of keeping the fire going and the conversation around it inclusive. Because the guild chat is the only place people can participate in the community, if the chat is turned too negative in any direction, people will be forced to choose between being uncomfortable or leaving the interaction with the community altogether. This means the bonfire isn’t the right place to vent about too large frustrations from real life and neither is it the right place to talk about the dark and depressive things that happen in your life. These things should be taken with people you trust outside of the bonfire. Going for a walk or into a private chat with a friend or family member are better ways of handling that.

** THE CONTENT ** We want to do a lot of content and activities in the game. I, Guildmaster Ral, am personally gonna be leading raids and running dungeons, as well as overseeing a project to share our resources in the guildbank for crafters that can use it to level the professions - in return for offering their services to guild members on a 'your mats, no fee' basis. That being said, I can't do everything alone. If you have an interest for organization and want a supportive background for exploring that, reach out when you apply and we would be happy to have more officers and eventholders in the guild.

** THE STORY** The Journey is a philosophy more than an organization. Likeminded people from across Azeroth live their lives with a focus on the balance between progression and enjoyment. Both elements are crucial to the journey through life, as those who travel it well know. Those on The Journey will often meet, feast, adventure and help each other. Though they might share no profession or link outside their adherence to the philosophy. A wandering merchant and a daredevil adventurer might help a city guard solve a murder, if all are companions along The Journey. Afterwards, they will share stories of their own paths, before setting off, only chance knowing if they will meet. For only one thing is certain on The Journey - company always eases the path.

** THE STREAM ** I create this guild with no expectation of people engaging with anything outside the game as part of their membership. That being said, I am a hobbyist content creator, making videos on MMOs for YouTube and streaming content on Twitch. This will likely impact the guild somewhat, which you'll have to be ready for. I am always covering the chat box with my face when streaming, so the guild chat should still be a safe space to chat without 'the internet' seeing every comment. I already run weekly challenge mode content in GW2 and did multiple week of HC raidleading in Retail before Forever brought me away. I go by Mook Chivalry when streaming. Usually just called 'Mook'. Feel free to hang out if you want to - though again, engaging with the stream is optional, not something I expect from guildmates.
