Who we are

The Orphans Grim has been a guild since the EU servers first opened in 2005, and we’re back for day one of WoW Forever on EU PvP, Horde side. *salutes* Defias Brotherhood bros. We’re adults only (21+), casual enough for real life but organised enough that dungeons and raids actually happen. New or old, Vanilla, Retail or Classic, you are very welcome, so come say hello at theorphansgrim.org

What we expect

  • Sign up for raids in Discord, if you can’t make it let us know in good time ideally the day before so we can fill your spot.
  • Real life comes first and emergencies happen, we don’t want to find out as the raid is about to start.
  • Be online 10 to 15 minutes before the start for invites with your gear repaired, your class reagents in your bags and your own consumables (flasks, potions, food).
  • If you’re not sure what to bring, ask and we’ll help.
  • Have the raid addons installed (DBM or BigWigs plus Gargul for the loot) and have a quick read of the fights beforehand. Nobody expects you to know everything on your first few nights.
  • Be on Discord so you can hear the raid leader (no mic needed).
  • Keep chat quiet during pulls so calls can be heard and save the banter for between bosses.
  • Loot follows our loot rules, no arguments on the night. If something doesn’t seem right, take it to an officer afterwards.
  • If you need to leave early, tell the raid leader before the raid starts and not halfway through a boss.
  • Be a decent member of the team, we’d rather have someone friendly than someone with a perfect parse.

Loot rules · Soft reserve

  • Soft reserve plus (SR+). Reserve one item per raid (two in Onyxia). Every raid you reserve the same item and don’t win it, you get +10 on your roll, up to +50.
  • Unreserved gear that binds when picked up is an open roll, main spec before off spec.
  • Unreserved BoE items and patterns go to the guild bank to help pay for raid consumables, and anything nobody needs is disenchanted for the bank.
  • New members can reserve and win from day one, but only build the bonus once they’re full members.
